We live in a time defined by boundaries. This year, TEDx BoundaryStreet takes \u201c有界無限 \u2013 The Edge of Possibilities\u201d as its central question, looking at lines that seem already drawn: identity and class, city and geography, resources and institutions, and the shifting boundary between technology and our humanity. We are less interested in pretending that limits do not exist, and more interested in how, within those limits, we can open new spaces to live, work and imagine differently.

To bring this question into a live conversation, we will host the first TEDx BoundaryStreet Annual Conference on 23 May at PMQ Qube. Over one afternoon, we will explore three interwoven strands \u2013 Education, AI & Technology, and Culture & Cantopop \u2013 as lenses to examine how \u201cboundaries\u201d shape the way we learn, create, relate and plan for the future. In the audience, you can expect people who care about the future of Hong Kong and the world: young and mid\u2011career professionals, innovators and creatives, educators and social changemakers, and city dwellers asking how to live more meaningfully in an age of uncertainty.

Our speakers come from different generations and walks of life: educators re\u2011imagining learning and growth within real\u2011world constraints, innovators exploring the role of AI at the edge between technology and humanity, and creators who use Cantopop and local culture to respond to the emotions of our times. Across a series of sharp 18\u2011minute TEDx talks and performances, participants will travel from personal stories to city\u2011level perspectives, from institutional barriers to the frontiers of technology. Some will have their assumptions challenged, some will discover new sparks for collaboration, and others may walk away with a clearer sense of direction for their own next chapter.

We do not expect to erase every boundary in a single day. What we hope to offer is a space where, for a few hours, you can stand on the boundary line: looking back at the path you\u2019ve taken, listening to how others have chosen differently, and imagining what another future might look like. Within this very finite day, we invite you to practise moving from what is bounded, towards your own version of what might be infinite.
